About brusseling.it
brusseling.it is a transparency platform for EU digital policy — a single, searchable place to find the strategies, initiatives, and priorities that shape the digital single market.
The project
This platform is a joint effort bringing together editorial curation, policy expertise, and open data infrastructure:
- Kai Zenner — policy expert and principal curator. Kai's systematic mapping of EU digital policy initiatives forms the editorial backbone of the platform.
- TUM Think Tank — academic home and institutional partner. Provides the analytical framework (Kai's Gliederung) organising EU digital policy into eight thematic areas.
- Digital Policy Alert — data source and co-contributor. DPA's policy monitoring feeds into the initiative and document corpus.
Platform
Built and maintained by SGEPT (St. Gallen Endowment for Prosperity through Trade) as an open, free resource for EU technology policy journalists, corporate public affairs, and civil society.
Editorial stance
brusseling.it is a structural reference layer for EU digital policy — not news and not advocacy. It is designed for journalists, public-affairs professionals, and researchers who need to track what the Commission is doing and why. Curation is by Kai Zenner at TUM Think Tank, who developed the analytical framework (Gliederung) used to classify all content. Policy data is sourced from Digital Policy Alert and Global Trade Alert. The platform is built and maintained by SGEPT.
